Plantation Shutters work well in all areas of the home, and indeed on both windows and doors. These shutters were fitted last week as part of a full house. They are from our Cleveland Range – which are combination of composite materials including MDF/Fauxwood panels with ABS louvres and MDF/Fauxwood frames. Basically this means that the louvres are unbreakable! The French Door shutters feature unique details such as our new ring-pull handle and magnetic door stop As always please call us on 087-2128007 or email our friendly team today with any queries you may have. Colette chose our Classic shutters in ‘Pure White’ for her recently renovated home in Clontarf. Colette’s French Door shutters were designed with 6 panels (instead of 4) which gives a really elegant look and ensures the doors slide much more easily. The shutters have 3″ (76mm) louvres with no tilt rod – instead using our EasyTilt system for opening and closing. The new ring pull on the doors will help with their operation and avoid jammy fingerprints! .
Take a look inside these recently renovated luxury holiday apartments in Kinsale. As they are located on Main Street, Kinsale, the owner wanted to ensure privacy and noise reduction for his guests. The shutters installed were custom made from our hardwearing Classic range (MDF), (see our Shutter Range here) with 63mm (2.5″) louvres in Silk White. The tilt rod is hidden using our Easy Tilt mechanism and this is a great option for heavy traffic areas. The shutters are a combination of full height, tier on tier and cafe style throughout the apartments which gives a great variety to the…
With this great weather we’ve had lately the only downside is being able to keep the house cool and flies out! Getting air into the house is so important and having proper ventilation is essential for keeping the temperature down – especially at nighttime when it can get uncomfortable. For those homes without shutters – the only way to get the air in is to open the window and open the curtains or raise the blinds – what a nuisance! – you either get no privacy or flapping window treatments! However – with plantation shutters it’s so much easier! Shutters…
Beautiful shutters fitted in this beautiful house in Sutton. We love the way our shutters fit so well into the decor of this house – and enhance the style. They are from our Cleveland Range (which are great for high traffic areas – with ABS Louvres and MDF Frames) in Silk White with 89mm (3.5″) louvres. They also have our EasyTilt system (which means they do not require a tilt rod).
This Castleknock home is a recently completed residential project. Our customer wanted Plantation Shutters to match the contemporary mood of the house, while also being practical in the family home. Shutters Of Dublin, Cork & Galway fitted Plantation Shutters from our Cleveland Range in our most popular colour – Silk White. The louvres are 3″ (76mm) and we also used our EasyTilt system which negates the need for a tilt rod. GET A QUOTE

A question we get asked, probably every day when we’re meeting people, is if shutters will darken a room. Obviously it is a worry for everyone – when investing in any new purchase you need to make sure you have all the facts! The main thing to remember about Plantation Shutters is that they give you the ability to control how much light comes into your room. Thus – if you want a bright, room with lots of light entering or you would like a more romantic, cozy feel – both are possible with Plantation Shutters. Creating a Bright Effect…

The shutters are in Silk White from our Classic Range (see here), they have our Easy Tilt mechanism (which has no visible tilt rod) and have 3″…

Plantation Shutters are beautiful, and you really can call them furniture for your windows. Although they are not nearly as expensive as they used to be, plantation shutters are still an investment for your home. Bearing this in mind, we have put together some practical reasons to love Plantation Shutters: Light & Dark – plantation shutters work really well during the day to bounce light around your room. However, once it starts getting dark in the evenings, all you need to do to stop people being able to see in, is to tilt the louvers or close them completely. And…
One of the most difficult parts of getting any work done in your home is to find the right person for the job. Companies may have fancy websites, or great TV ads or indeed amazing sales, but the hardest part of all (besides parting with hard-earned money) is trying to decide on who to do your job for you! But where to start if you haven’t been given any recommendations? One of the things I always advise my clients to do is to go to see our previous installations. This will often help a customer decide what they want in their…
